Beyond the Barrel is an opportunity for the Australian wine industry to interact in a commercial environment with the tourism industry and meet face to face with ‘Buyers’ (inbound tour operators).
The wine industry businesses need to have commissionable product ready for the inbound market. If you are not sure if you are ‘inbound ready’ please do not hesitate to contact ATEC and refer to the current ‘Growing Wine Tourism’ program being rolled out Australia wide for ‘international ready’ wine industry product. This EOI survey will be open and accepting applications until COB Monday 1 April 2019.

Delegates must be currently working within the wine tourism industry (i.e. winery, cellar door, restaurant, tour operators, accommodation…) and have decision-making capacity within their organisation.

The Swan Valley wine region is set to receive an economic boost through increased international tourist numbers, after being successful in securing funding through the Liberal Government’s International Wine Tourism Competitive Grants Programme.
Federal Member for Pearce, Christian Porter and Federal Member for Hasluck, Ken Wyatt today congratulated Swan Valley and Regional Winemakers Association (“SVRWA”) who were successful in securing $250,000 in grant funding from the Liberal Government’s $50 million Export and Regional Wine Support Package.

The Swan Valley & Regional Winemakers Association is pleased to announce the dates for the 2017 Singapore Airlines Swan Valley Wine Show.
The annual Swan Valley Wine Show will consist of Wine Judging on Wednesday 23 August, followed by the Exhibitor’s Tasting on Thursday 24 August at Caversham House and the Gala Awards Dinner and presentation of trophies on Friday 25 August at Mandoon Estate.
The Swan Valley Wine Show is recognised as being one of the premier regional wine shows in Western Australia.
The Wine Show Committee have been successful in securing an excellent team of judges for this year’s Wine Show.
Our international judge for 2017 is Ms Fongyee Walker, co-founder of Dragon Phoenix Wine Consulting in Beijing. Fongyee is mainland China’s most qualified wine educator. She is a Master of Wine, writes for several Chinese and international wine publications, judges for leading Chinese magazines and also serves as an international judge.
Fongyee will join our two judging panels of expert wine judges Mark Warren (Chairman of Judges), Ray Jordan, Severine Logan, Garth Cliff, Cath Oates and associate judges Dan Charter and Emma Farrelly.
Each year hundreds of wines are submitted by wineries from the Swan Valley and Greater Perth Zone.
The Swan Valley is the oldest wine region in Western Australia, the second oldest wine region in Australia and in 2017 the Swan Valley celebrates 183 years of winemaking,.
